From the early days in Kannada cinema keeping the names of localities and towns as titles for the film has become a habit. We had ‘Gandhinagar’ in the yesteryears later in 2004 we had titles like ‘Kalasipalya’ and others. Now the one who directed ‘Kalasipalya’ starring Darshan and Rakshita – Om Prakash Rao is directing ‘Cotton Pete’ Kannada cinema at Laldasa Sri Venkataramana Swamy temple in Balepete, Bangalore.

Director Om Prakash Rao known for picking scenes from various films and adopting it in his film admitted that he is doing it again as the straight subject film ‘Huli’ his 25th film crashed miserably in the box office. I have a hairline story and adding all commercial elements.

I remember what Manirathnamji had told. ‘Success is important now how you make a film’. When such stalwart has told like that there is nothing wrong in inspiring from other films and making a film like ‘Cotton Pete’ says Rao.

Rao has roped in the tall and handsome Aditya to play the lead. It is five action and five songs film with Abhiman Roy as music director and Veenus Murthy as cameraman.
